Serving the State of Alabama
Founded in 2009, Homecare Companions provides personalized, non-medical, in-home care to seniors and disabled adults in Baldwin and Mobile Counties. Homecare Companions is locally owned and operated by Kristi Vitale, M.D.
Kristi and her team are committed to providing personalized, compassionate care from a staff you can trust. Every member of our team is dedicated to helping clients maintain health, safety and happiness through support and companionship. We know you have a choice in senior care and we want you to make us your choice!
"Our commitment to providing personalized in-homecare with respect and compassion is unsurpassed. Invite us to visit your loved ones in their home to better understand how we can help improve their lives and the lives of the families responsible for their care." That is our passion. - Kristi M. Vitale M.D. CEO
In Alabama, the non-medical caregiving industry is not regulated or licensed by any government agency (Home Health and Hospice are regulated). For caregiving, Alabama requires a business license, but we also carry substantial professional and general liability insurance on every employee.
All caregivers in our company are direct employees, not a contracted labor force from an unknown agency. We vet them, train them, and instill our values in them before we place them in any home environment.
Each caregiver at Homecare Companions must pass an extensive background and reference check before becoming a member of the team.
Our dedicated and trusted staff consists of certified nursing assistants, experienced caregivers, and home health aides with years of documented experience. We pride ourselves on being caregivers, not just sitters.
