Sue Laporte - Homecare Companions

Sue Laporte, RN

Staff Nurse

Sue Laporte is a dedicated Staff Nurse at Homecare Companions, bringing 18 years of nursing experience to her role. For the past year and a half, she has been passionately supporting clients and their families, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life at home. Sue finds immense joy in getting to know her clients and forging meaningful relationships that enhance their care experience.

Her journey into nursing was profoundly influenced by her personal experience as a caregiver for her mother, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. This heartfelt experience ignited Sue’s passion for nursing, inspiring her to ensure others receive the compassionate care she was fortunate to have during her mother’s illness.

Before joining Homecare Companions, Sue worked for many years as a hospice nurse and holds an Associate’s Degree in Science, Nursing from Columbia State Community College in Tennessee. This educational background, combined with her extensive experience, empowers her to provide high-quality, empathetic care to her clients.

Outside of her nursing career, Sue moved to Orange Beach in 2017 with her husband, Mark. They are proud parents of two grown sons and grandparents to four wonderful grandchildren. Together, they enjoy traveling across the United States in their camper van, often with their beloved dog, Bella. Whether exploring new places or spending quality time with family, Sue embraces life with the same passion and dedication she brings to her work at Homecare Companions.
